1. What we collect
Creating an AssetAvenue account is an explicit act of providing personal data. Depending on how you use the product, we may collect:
- Account identity: name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Supabase Auth).
- Investor profile and buy box: markets, unit range, budget, DSCR/cap floors, property focus, persona, and goals.
- Workspace content you save: watchlist items, underwriting reviews, notification preferences.
- Billing identifiers: Stripe customer and subscription IDs when you start a paid plan or trial.
- Usage analytics: pages viewed and feature usage (aggregated where practical).
- Messages you send to Ask Avenue or deal-search chat (processed to generate replies).
Some preferences may also be stored in your browser's local storage for signed-out or offline convenience. We do not sell personal information.
2. How we use it
We use this information to operate your workspace (ranking, filters, saved work), send optional deal digests and alerts you turn on, process billing, improve the product, and provide AI-assisted Q&A and deal narration. Analysis outputs are informational only — see our Disclaimer.
3. Third parties
We use service providers to run AssetAvenue. Personal data may be processed by:
- Supabase — authentication, Postgres profiles, and private application data. User records are not exposed via public ACL.
- Stripe — email and customer/subscription identifiers for checkout, trials, and invoices. Card data is handled by Stripe, not stored on AssetAvenue servers.
- Anthropic — prompts and chat context you send to Ask Avenue or AI deal narration, solely to generate replies.
- Vercel — application hosting and related infrastructure logs.
- Apify — public listing scrapes for inventory. End-user account PII is not sent to Apify.
- Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada, and CMHC — market reference data. We do not send personal identifiers to these APIs.
Scraped property listings are inventory for the product, not uploads of your personal files. More detail on AI processing is on our How we use AI page.
4. Retention and deletion
Account and workspace data are retained while your account is active. To delete your account and associated personal data, email info@assetavenue.ca. Signing out clears session cookies; clearing browser storage removes local preferences. Billing records may be retained as required for tax and dispute resolution.
5. Security and storage
Workspace and account data live in private Supabase databases and related storage — not on a public bucket with open ACL. Access is authenticated. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we apply industry-standard safeguards appropriate to a hosted SaaS workspace.
